When we first discovered Pals in Your Pocket, we were moved by the story behind them. Created in the UK during the first national lockdown in 2020 by a mother-and-daughter team, the idea began as a simple way to offer comfort during uncertain times while raising funds for NHS Charities Together. Their small hand-painted pebble companions were designed to be carried in a pocket or bag, giving people something reassuring to hold onto during moments of worry, anxiety or loneliness.

Each Pals in Your Pocket pebble is individually hand painted, meaning no two are ever the same. Small, tactile and full of character, these little companions are designed to bring quiet reassurance when it’s needed most. Many come with a small message card carrying words of encouragement such as: “Feeling sad, or having a happy day? I am with you every step of the way.” A simple idea, but one that has helped many people feel a little less alone.

When we discovered these beautiful little companions, we knew we wanted to share them in a way that helped people connect with those they care about.
